General use Obligations
You will not use any web robot or other automated means to access Mapitol websites for any purpose without Mapitol express written permission. Additionally, you agree that you will not: (i) take any action that imposes, or may impose in our sole discretion an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on Mapitol infrastructure; (ii) interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of Mapitol websites or any activities conducted on the Site; or (iii) bypass any measures Mapitol may use to prevent or restrict access to the Site;
If you are under 13 years old you should not use Mapitol websites without parental consent.
Registered User Obligations
You may not select or use as a Mapitol Username a name of another person or a name that is otherwise offensive or obscene. Mapitol reserves the right to refuse and cancel any registration in its discretion;
You shall be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password;
You agree not to abuse, harass, threaten, impersonate or intimidate other users;
You agree not to post any content that is abusive, obscene, hateful, defamatory, threatening or any other material that may violate any laws be it of your country, the country where Mapitol is hosted or International Law;
You agree not to submit posts linking to affiliate programs, multi-level marketing schemes or off-topic content;
You agree not to sell nor otherwise transfer your Username.
Editor Obligations
You agree to follow the Mapitol Editor Guidelines when submitting changes to links or folders. This, includes, but is not limited to, that you agree in the obligations not to:
Create separate Usernames for the purpose of artificially altering the collaborative processes of editing and voting;
Use of editing and voting abilities with the intention of artificially promoting your website, your company, yourself or your services;
Use of editing and voting abilities with the intention of selling promoting services to third parties or by any other way gaining commercial revenues with those abilities;
Promote or participate in user associations with behavior or intentions to manipulate editing and voting processes.
Privacy Policy
You agree that your personal information and contributions will be stored and used by Mapitol and available to other users in accordance with Mapitol Privacy Policy;
Mapitol has a committed effort to safeguard the security of the user information that is collected. Mapitol shall not be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the information being compromised.
Termination
You agree that Mapitol has the right to terminate or suspend your Mapitol Username immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach any of the terms or conditions of these Terms of Use. Upon termination of your account, your right to be a registered user will immediately cease. You agree that Mapitol, in those situations, has the right to remove, edit, move or close any post or contribution with your Username.
Trademarks
Mapitol, Mapitol.com, Map’it, Mapit’all, Mapitol logos and other Mapitol graphics are international or country-specific registered trademarks, trademarks or trade dress of Mapitol. Mapitol trademarks and trade dress may not be used, including as part of trademarks and/or as part of domain names, in connection with any product or service in any manner that is likely to cause confusion.
You agree that you will not use Mapitol trademarks and trade dress, or any confusingly similar marks, without Mapitol written permission.
Indemnity
You understand that violating these Terms of Use might result in serious damages to Mapitol.
You will indemnify and hold harmless Mapitol, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, customers, vendors, officers and employees from any liability, damage or cost (including reasonable attorneys fees and cost) from any claim or demand due to or arising out of your access to Mapitol websites, violation of these Terms of Use or the infringement by you, or any third party using your Mapitol Username, of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity.
Version Control
Mapitol may change these Terms of Use at any time and will do the best in informing you, though it would be prudent to review this regularly yourself as your continued usage of Mapitol websites after changes mean you agree to be legally bound by these terms as they are updated and/or amended.
